Yellowstone in Winter - Feb 2014 - bobandsusan

Our first "post retirement" trip  was an awesome adventure to Jackson Hole, WY, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We traveled with our friends Pete & Roz from Colorado Springs and Chuck & Carolyn from Grand Junction.  Our trip started in Jackson Hole where we spent a few days exploring the town, the National Elk  Refuge, and Grand Teton National Park.  Then it was off to Flagg Ranch to board our Bombardier Snow Coach for the ride to the Old Faithful Snow Lodge in Yellowstone.  For  four days we explored Old Faithful and the surrounding areas on foot and by Snow Coach.   Words (or photos) cannot begin to  describe the beauty and serenity of the park  wrapped in a thick blanket of snow.  After our return to Jackson Hole,  we took a 1/2 day dog sled trip along the Granite Creek south of town.   We 're already looking forward to our next frosty fun adventure in Yellowstone!  These photos do not begin to do justice to what we experienced, but we hope you enjoy them!  (Just click  the photo on the right )
